Skating in the City

Despite the show storm this past week, we decided to keep to our plans and head down to NY to take the girls ice skating for the first time.  They got their first pairs of hockey skates (yay!) and what could be cooler???

We had the best place to stay at Aunt Chris' house in Cross River, so we avoided driving into the snow-laden city on Wednesday - yay for a train ride!!!

Daddy and the girls in Bryant Park after we told them we'd have to take a walk before the rink opened...

Girls...this is Times Square!

Note the snow removal process taking place behind them...

Almost more inspiring than the enormous buildings and billboards around them...

On to the ferris wheel at ToysRUs!  I have to admit, this was pretty cool..and a fantastic way to waste some time with little ones!

We got the Monopoly car!!  Mom and Dad were pretty psyched...and the girls really didn't know why...

But Emma was happy anyway :)

A quick lunch from Bryant Park while waiting in line for...

Out snow day!!!!  Bryant Park was awesome...and thank heavens it was free...

...because as good as they were...
...it lasted all of 20 minutes...

WOW!

That is one big tree...

Well...this could sum up 2010...Bubble bursting.  We are very blessed to have each other...and to have you.  Thanks, Saks, for creating a visual of our thoughts...

Grand Central Station...the end of our journey.

An awesome way to wrap up 2010.  A year of ups and downs for just about everyone...

Stay tuned...Reflections and Resolutions are coming...
